Helpful Resources for Parents
- Strugglingteens.com offers a rich listing of Pacific Northwest resources for parents and their teens.
- Yellowstone Boys and Girls Ranch is a very large Christian residential treatment center in Montana.
- Catherine Freer Wilderness Therapy Program is an excellent 21-day program for drug and alcohol issues. Freer also offers other programs.
- SUWS is a good 21-day program for primary drug and alcohol issues.
Local Community Resources
- NorthWest Behavioral Center will do free drug testing and is also a great primary placement for drug and alcohol issues, as well as short-term mental health stays.
- Morrison Center offers services for children and families. This is an outstanding resource in the Portland area for troubled teens which offers different types of services, including family therapy.
