Donations FAQ

We appreciate your support of Project Patch.  The following are common questions we receive regarding donations.  If you have additional questions, please contact us at 360-690-8495 or email us.

Are my donations to Project Patch tax deductible?
Donations to Project Patch are tax-deductible.  Project Patch is a non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation which operates through individual and  corporate donations.  No goods or services are provided for donations.

Who can I talk to if I have questions about my donation?

If you have questions about your donation, please call our administrative office at 360-690-8495.

Can I change my mind about my donation?

Due to the complexity of tax and accounting laws and procedures, it is important that you quickly notify us if you would like to cancel or re-designate or restrict your donation.  Please contact our administrative office at 360-690-8495 by noon (Pacific Time) on the day immediately following the date of your donation if you need to make any changes.

How will I receive a confirmation and receipt for my donation?

You will receive an email which confirms your on-line donation.  You will also receive a mailed receipt within a week which can be used for tax purposes.

Is my credit card information secure?

Project Patch takes every precaution to protect our donors’ information.  When donors submit sensitive information via our website, the information is protected both online and in our office.  We use encrypted https:// security to complete the transaction.  This method is the industry standard security protocol.

Will you keep my information private?

Project Patch will not share, sell, or trade your information with any other organization or individual.

Can we donate even if we don’t live in the United States?

Donors from outside the U.S. can make a donation as long as their credit card is supported by a U.S.-based card company.  All online transactions (donations) are based on the U.S. Dollar.

Can I have a recurring donation automatically charged to my credit card?

Yes, you can either contact our administrative office at 360-690-8495 and we will assist you, or you can let us know when you give your donation online.  Just simply select “yes” when asked and we will begin making recurring monthly donations from your credit card.

NOTE: When arranging for automatic credit card charges online, the deduction will be made on the 15th of each month.  If you prefer a different day of the month, please call us to make arrangements for your recurring donation.
