Program Director
Jim Smith has served as missionary, pastor, college professor, and counselor.  As a pastor, Jim walked from cradle to grave with his parishioners, officiating at weddings, helping families deal with death, aging parents, and loss of young children, and counseling families blown apart by divorce.  He spent 11 years at the Project PATCH youth ranch as a counselor, during which time he also obtained his master's degree in general counseling.  Now he serves as program director for the Project PATCH Family Center.  His own experience growing up with an alcoholic father has empowered Jim to be compassionate to families in pain and turmoil.  He and his wife, Sarah, have three children and eight grandchildren.

Admissions Coordinator
Sarah Smith was raised in a small community in Colorado and accepted Christ at an early age.  Her strong faith helped her through many difficulties during her childhood, and eventually brought her to the church where she was to meet Jim, whom she was to marry.  That was over 30 years ago.  Together they have served as missionaries in Zambia, mentored students at various Bible colleges, and served at Project PATCH.  Sarah holds a bachelor's degree in human services, and has completed her master's in psychology.  Her current role as admissions coordinator for the Project PATCH Family Center is a job she enjoys thoroughly, and when she's not working, she spends as much time as possible with her eight grandchildren.
